News for Anderson Mill Road!
Posted on Mar 10th, 2014
It was announced that building a trail/path along Anderson Mill Road to Anderson Mill and possibly connecting to Anderson Mill Elementary on the Church side of the road is in the works.  One thing is certain; the construction of a new bridge at Anderson Mill with plans to leave the old bridge for pedestrian use.  Trails along the Tyger River are still in the works, but the main focus right now will be the path along the road.   Updates will be provided as we receive them.

Toray and traffic on Anderson Mill Road
Posted on Mar 10th, 2014
There is a great concern for the current condition of Anderson Mill Road along with the coming of Toray, a billion dollar plant being built along highway 290 not far from Anderson Mill road and the increase in traffic that it will bring.  There is no question that Anderson Mill Road will be used as a cut through to shopping, dining, schools and homes.  There are currently no plans to prepare our area for this increase in traffic that Toray will bring.  This is a concern for everyone on the Westside, especially due to the fact that many teenagers use Anderson Mill Road to drive to Dorman High School.  We are asking for volunteers to work on getting the county and state to prepare our roads for this increase of traffic.  If interested, please call Cliff Walters at 680-7000.
